1994 Pacific Community Health Inc (PaCH) was established on the 24th of April 1994 at Cannons Creek, Porirua to provide community mental health support for Pacific people and others experiencing mental health illness.
   
1996 PaCH legally registered
   
2004 Establishment of a service in the Hutt.

Vakaola was adopted as a username for Pacific Community Health
   
2007 Vakaola - Pacific Community Health moved from Cannons Creek to Kenepuru.

Mission Statement

Vakaola - Pacific Community Health will strive to provide and develop mental health support services in the Wellington region and beyond focusing on Pacific people and others.

It promotes autonomy and quality healthy lifestyle.

Vakaola is our user name meaning Boat or Canoe of Life that supports people with experiences of mental illness in the community in conjunction with mental health team, families and other health providers.

Vakaola strongly upholds the Treaty of Waitangi.
